Spanish ´Left- Wing´ Radical Pablo Iglesias sends children to private school

 

Former Podemos Leader Pablo Iglesias and current Podemos Euro MP Irene Montero have decided to send their kids to an exclusive private school, despite Pablo Iglesias formerly stating that parents who chose such an option did so because they “don´t want their kids to go to school with gypsies , Moroccans or working class kids in general.”

 

In a report from Spanish newspaper ABC , despite their supposed left wing credentials both parents have seemingly decided that social integration and state schools aren´t good enough for their kids and their three children will now attend  a 500 euro a month private school. 

 

This is all the more embarrassing for Pablo Iglesias, who is on record for his vehement opposition to private schools as seen below.

 

Although embarressing for Pablo Iglesias, it should lead to more questions on how current Euro MP Irene Montero can continue in her position of Political Secretary of Podemos when her actual actions are in stark contrast to the policy positions that are espoused by Podemos on education.

They say that everyone is conservative about what they know and it seems that it is never more true than where Pablo has decided to send his kids. Pablo Iglesias is a very modern example of the exact type of spoilt middle class child whose psuedo-radicalism was state funded thanks to his many years of working at publically funded University Complutense in Madrid.  A man who quit politics when the hard business of implementing policy actually came around, seemingly far more in love with the luxury of permanent opposition.

 

Not content with asking for over 100,000 euros in donations for his ´progressive´ bar in oh so trendy Lavapies (an immigrant dominated neighbourhood that we can now safely say he wouldn´t be seen dead taking his kids to school with) . Of course, his actions will be used to beat any actual left wing politics into the ground as people like him are held up as its leaders but the reality is he´s everything that old school left wing working class politics would despise: The best Spanish example of the very modern liberal-left´s (which really just means liberal) love of social dumping.

 

 

Shameless Social Dumping

 

All the benefits of cheap immigrants when it comes to bars and cheap Ubers, whilst dumping the costs on the working class Spaniards who see rent explode, schools increasingly stretched (if they can afford kids at all) and unlike Pablo , can´t buy their way out. There are arguements to be had about the merits or otherwise of private schools buy what can´t be denied is that politics and society is infinitely poorer when  working class people are erased from traditional institutions they used to run to be replaced by the likes of this.
